Artist's Comments

Another work for my university, wood, metal, animal heart.
I did not kill nor harm any creature whatsoever in order to do this, I used the heart of an already dead creature.

Wow, I actually like this one! The metal, in contrast with the human body. It's great.

To be as light as poppy seeds
free falling on the gentle breeze,
descend upon the devil's ground
and bring the lost souls to their knees

Thank you so much I got this image with metal stuff sticking in and piercing through the flesh ... it makes me so happy to know you noticed it

I just watched Hostel so I'm looking at this with a little bit of a different view. :O If I may be so bold however, I personally feel this is more angry than sorrowful. Interesting piece.

I did it following a strange request from our teacher at my university,
he said we where to do something that reflected a memory
an emotion of the half-distant past (4 to 5 years ago)
that had to be something to do with our emotions but could not
be a description or an illustration of a memory.
So this image came to mind, and in truth I meant to reflect
heartbreak, loss and sorrow, but then your take on it is as good as mine.
thank you so much for your comment, and forgive me if I wrote too much ;)
